Chestnut and apple ice-cream sundae

Cook along with me in the greenhouse kitchen as I make no-churn chestnut choc-chip ice-cream with hot, buttered apples and nut crumble.

I’m back in the greenhouse kitchen cooking an Autumnal dessert recipe that I hope you will soon be making on repeat. It’s loosely inspired by the stovetop apple crumble recipe in my cookbook, From the Veg Patch, but with a few decadent alterations…

For regular access to my greenhouse kitchen (for cookalongs, tutorial and Q&As) become a paid subscriber. It costs less than a bag of organic apples a month and means I can make these sorts of videos rather than attempting to dance with avocados on TikTok to make a living.

Warm, buttery apples against cold ice-cream; the crunch of honey-glazed nuts amongst soft-scoop cream – this dessert is packed with flavour, textures and interest despite being an absolute doddle to prepare. After all, sundaes aren’t just for summertime.

Serves 2 with ice-cream leftover (possibly)

  • 300ml double cream
