I live in the States but read about your book and ordered it on AmazonUK. I loved it. Thanks for reminding me that our “careers” don’t define us. I’ve had 2 professional careers, did well in both, but really didn’t have a deep passion for either. I’ve felt guilty for not using all that education but at 70, retired from paycheck earning, it’s time to let myself figure out who I really am now.
Marilyn, thank you. I’m so happy you found Rough Patch useful. And I’m so interested in your experience of ‘retirement’. It’s a dreadful phrase really, isn’t it? No wonder we often feel like doing something other than work is somehow diminishing.
(PS I hope you don't mind me asking, it seems so crass, but if you had 30 seconds to give it a star rating/review on AmazonUK I'd be enormously grateful. It makes such a difference to how much attention the book gets from these websites. But only if you feel like it, obviously.)
Yay, that's FANTASTIC news about the Delicious gig. Can't wait to read and watch every month. (Also, can't believe I missed the vid post on Insta. Darn algos.) Congratulations! 👏

Thanks so much my lovely. Yes, it’s really exciting. The first batch of features is until the spring then a break and back later in the year. 💚
What a fabulous lot of news, Kathy, and huge congratulations on the Delicious gig!
Thanks so much, Christie. It’s like buses isn’t it? You scrabble around for work for ages and then when it finally comes, it’s all at once!
Love the bubbling excitement … well-deserved emotions! And a lovely celebration of the artwork too. Happy January.
Thank you! Excited bubbling and nervous bubbling too but I’ll take that over the usual January slump!
Such a thrilling way to start a year!
Love the picture, congrats Kathy a great achievement and what a way to start the year
Thanks Alex! I was so emotional when the first copy came off the press. V embarrassing to sob whilst surrounded by burly printers 🤣
