NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER
Announcing a few changes, plus pressie ideas and recipes for the November harvest.
Hello you lovely lot.
Welcome to my monthly newsletter. This month, there’s a bit of housekeeping to do, so bear with me while I explain some changes happening here. Then it’s on to the fun stuff - Christmas pressie ideas (no, it’s not too soon) and six (SIX!) free recipes to celebrate the autumn harvests.
As ever, do let me know how you get on with the recipes and shout anytime with your questions or comments.
TECHNICAL NOTE: This post is packed so may appear as clipped or truncated in an email. If so, just press VIEW ENTIRE MESSAGE at the end of the email, or head to the app or online version.
Some Changes…
Tales From the Veg Patch is now four months old (and far better behaved than my spaniel of a similar age). I’ve been tinkering with a few ideas for making it work harder for you (and, frankly, for me too) and your feedback has been super helpful in fathoming that out. I’m really grateful for all the support, cheerleading and suggestions. Thank you.
So, with all those tips and what, in my old adland days, we’d have called ‘Insights and Findings’, I’m making some changes to what you’ll receive from me each month.
Here’s what you’ll be getting from next week (mid-Nov):
A free monthly newsletter (that’s this email).
A free monthly tale from the veg patch (for example here and here).
A recipe post (like this) with PDF recipe card.
Free subscribers will receive one a month
Paid subscribers will receive one a week *
A monthly video (could be a patch tour, interview or cookalong). Check out the exciting November video news below.
*I’ve massively dithered about no longer offering all the recipes for free and I appreciate not everyone will like it. But recipes are the absolute backbone of what I do here, and I hope you agree that there’s still plenty to go at if you’d prefer to remain a free subscriber.
And because you guys are lovely and are already here reading this newsletter, here’s a 10% discount on your first year subscription:
Founder members will, as always, receive a personalised copy of my cookbook, From the Veg Patch, and a TFTVP recipe binder for their recipe cards in their first year. In subsequent years, they’ll receive a signed copy of my next book (news on that soon) and, as always, my undying gratitude. (Catch me on the right day and I might offer you my puppy too…)
I do appreciate that treating yourself to things like this can be tricky when counting pennies, so if that’s you, just email me as I have some capacity to subsidise paid subscriptions to anyone struggling. Or if you are in the position of being able to donate a subscription for someone then you can do that here, you lovely, generous thing:
There we are then. That’s the update. Whichever subscription you pick, I’m just glad you’re here and I’m enormously grateful for your support.

Give the Gift of Growing
Sorry, I couldn’t resist a cheesy headline. It is Christmas after all. (What? Yes, it is. Under 40 sleeps.)
If you’d like to give a copy of my cookbook, From the Veg Patch, as a Christmas present, I can sign, gift-wrap and post you a personalised copy. It costs £25 (plus £5.60 1st class postage in the UK). Just hit reply to this email and tell me:
Your name and email address for online payment link
The name of the person you want the book to be made out to and any message you’d like me to include before signing it
The address you want it posted to (and whether this is yours or the recipient’s address)
Or, what about a gift subscription to Tales From the Veg Patch? How lovely to send a weekly recipe, plus lots of other goodies as you know, to someone every week for a year.
