VIDEO: Inside the walled kitchen garden at RHS Bridgewater
Come for a very inspiring chat with Simone, the head veg gardener at RHS Bridgewater, and take a wander round the kitchen garden of your dreams
The other week (when it was hot), I visited RHS Bridgewater to do some talks and cookery demonstrations as part of their Festival of Flavours which celebrates homegrown food. During a brief lull in the schedule, Simone, the head veg gardener, and I found a quiet corner of the garden for a chat about the way they garden at Bridgewater (it’s not traditional RHS); what a weird growing year it has been; what her top growing tips are; and, where I went wrong with green manure.
It was such a lovely and inspiring visit and I’m so grateful to Simone for making space in a hectic day. I hope it gives you as many ideas as it did me.
