We have just started a teeny tiny farm...growing lettuces to sell this summer, and vegetables for us. About 8 plants, but, no matter how few I grow I can't keep up with them. It's all going so well with some small crunchy courgettes, and you turn away for 2 days and suddenly there's courgette mania. They grow so big and wet overnight. Followed later on by the festival of squashes. Even though I know it's coming, I can't help but grow so many! :-)

A farm?! Wow that sounds exciting. Where do you farm? Also - I’m delighted to meet someone else who can’t help growing too many courgettes, even in the full knowledge that you’ll be overwhelmed. It’s a compulsion! 😂

It is a compulsion! As is often growing seeds that are past their sowing date.... just incase :) . It's in the Gower, by Swansea on the coast. Part of a ELC co-operative farm of 3 mini plots together. Supporting small regenerative farming. Exciting times :-)

For the first time I'm not dreading a glut of courgettes! Just read your book that I found at the Hay Festival and I loved it. x

Oh this makes me so happy - the courgette delight and the Hay bit - thank you, Rita. There’ll be MANY more courgette recipes coming this summer. How many plants have you got in your garden? (so I know how big a glut we’re dealing with 😂)
